Chloregy :       ago - to lead, chloros - green

Chloregy, as a word and not as a brand, is a new word designed from the Greek chloro (green) and ago (leading), which may be used in a similar fashion as the word strategy.   The main differences being that strategy presupposes an enemy or an opposing force whether in war, business or in politics; while chloregy still requires the use of skill and planning for resource allocation to achieve a goal, but it is presupposed that the goal is one which is intended to be beneficial to all stakeholders and is achieved through ethical means.  As one person put it to me the difference between debate and dialog.

Chloregy is based in San Francisco, California.  Founded in 2008 Chloregy aims to provide news, research and tools for the adoption of practices and policies that lead to a sustainable economic system.  Such a system will come into existence when development of social and environmental responsibility are prime objectives of people and organizations in our global society.  Right now we do not have a sustainable global economic system.

Sustainable development is key to fostering a healthy economy, society and planet. Sustainability means responsible, ethical and conscientious growth and it applies to any financially, legally or socially linked groups of people; lack of attention to it generally results in negative feedback loops from externalities such as pollution.

Chloregy is a site dedicated to Green, CSR, Energy and Sustainability issues as well as other related socio-economic and environmental issues. The site content is primarily for use in business, public policy and academic ventures, though occasionally we may include lifestyle and consumer oriented content.

We began as an online information source designed for the evangelizing, promotion and sharing of ideas for sustainable development of businesses, governments, educational institutions, and ultimately human civilization and our planet.  Each day our editors select the most interesting news articles and blogs from our syndication partners which are a mix of corporate media, and independent authors and bloggers.  Feel free to post a comment if something sounds off in a particular article or press release; there are many sides to a story and not all of them are sensible, so sometimes we post items that don't tow the party line, so to speak, allowing our readers to express their opinions in favor or against a particular view point.
